The Man Behind the Mask: Travis Robinson shines, Terriers down Delaware
Thursday, December 1st, 2011(Boston, MA)–Last night, his face obscured, an unknown Terrier took flight, blowing past one defender and soaring over another, before throwing down a monster 2-handed slam.
Who was that masked man?
By day, Travis Robinson is a soft-spoken kid who works hard in the classroom, carries himself with a maturity beyond his years, and stays out of the spotlight.
Last night, he was the Terriers “Masked Avenger,” scoring a career high 16 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting from the floor, 4-of-4 from downtown.
Darryl Partin scored 27 points, D.J. Irving came close to a triple-double with 11 assists, eight points and seven rebounds, and the Terriers won their third straight with a 73-67 victory over the visiting Blue Hens of the University of Delaware Wednesday night.
But it was Robinson who stood out; draining deep 3’s, getting to the hoop in the half-court, and getting after it on the defensive end. (more…)
